- To provide a mechanism for voluntary organisations to share information and concerns.
- To give the voluntary sector a stronger voice to enable them to work together more effectively.To support co-operation and networking between voluntary organisations.
- In partnership with DCVS, to provide a channel of communication and co-operation with partners in other sectors, including public bodies.

| Membership |
- The VSN is an informal network of voluntary and community groups who wish to engage in its activities.
- There is a Steering Group which plans its programme and is accountable to those who attend its events. This Group is open and is always looking for new members. Paul Jaunzems chairs this Group and Dudley CVS administers its activities.
- We hold a monthly informal lunch which provides an opportunity for networking and is open to all staff and volunteers working in the sector.
- The VSN is a member of Dosti, with a member being the Network Representative

| Meetings |
The next VSN meeting will be on Friday 27th November.
The meeting will be held between 9.30am till 11.30am. The venue will be Brierley Hill Methodist Church, Bank Street.

These meetings may be supplemented by evening meetings for groups unable to attend during the day. |

| VSN Lunch Club |
VSN lunch club is held on the 2nd Thurs of every month.
The lunch club meet between 1-2pm at the Rose and Crown PH, Bank Street, Brierley Hill and gives members the opportunity to meet and network with colleagues.
