What is DVON
DVON is a support network for volunteer organisers across the Dudley borough and is open to any group who involve volunteers. It has been an independently constituted voluntary group since January 2004.

Our aims and objectives
The group aims to promote volunteers, and volunteering, through volunteer co-ordinators by aiding the exchange of best practice, information, training and encouraging partnership working and support networks.

Feedback from our members
In a recent survey of our member every single respondent said that they would recommend membership to others who supported volunteers. Some of the comments included:
"Networking, useful training programmes, community events, obtaining potential volunteers through Dudley CVS, and obtaining important information regarding any issues surrounding volunteers."
"Support from other organisations on best practice, training opportunities, advice and guidance."
"I have found our affiliation with DVON to be absolutely paramount - we have increased our number of community events and have found them to be positive. Networking with other organisations has also proved to be beneficial to both our volunteers and service users. The friendliness within the regular meetings is lovely and the number of organisations that use this are increasing. The speakers invited are interesting and relevant and it is a pleasure to be part of the group."
