Dudley CVS Route Map
Representatives of over two dozen "small" (annual turnover of £15,000 or less) voluntary groups attended the launch of an exciting new step-by-step programme of support for local voluntary and community groups.
Called Route Map, the programme was launched on Wednesday 25th January 2012 and received very positive responses from voluntary sector representatives.
The programme has been a year in the making and is called Route Map because it has been designed to help small groups to get from A to B in the most logical and straightforward way. It is also intended to take some of the fear out of creating and running a voluntary and community group.
Route Map is available to any small group in Dudley borough that wants to strengthen itself. DCVS officers will give one-to-one guidance throughout the programme.
Becky Pickin, Dudley CVS Small Groups Development Officer said, “Route Map differs from the support that we have previously given because it brings everything together in a step by step programme that aims to take the fear out of running a group. We serve up each section in bite-sized chunks making it easier for smaller groups to get the tools they need to make them stronger.”
