It is an astonishing fact that over one-third of grant applications to UK charitable funders were judged ineligible in the last year because they didn't meet the funder's stated criteria. Assuming each application took 10 minutes to write, (in reality many hours are spent filling in grant applications) that adds up to nearly 7 years of wasted effort every year. This is why one of the most important goals of Dudley CVS is to support local voluntary and community organisations with their funding applications. We do this by offering organisations help and guidance on identifying their funding needs and developing strategies for finding the appropriate potential funders they need.
