Aims and outcomes of funder: Will support innovative projects designed to promote heart health and to prevent or reduce the risks of heart disease
Additional information: Projects funded in the past include encouraging visually impaired people to take regular exercise using tandem bicycles and educating adults with learning difficulties about heart health so they can take part in physical activities

BBC Children in Need: Next deadline 15th April 2012
Size of grant available: Small grants up to £10,000 a year, large grants above £10,000 a year (no maximum but very few grants are made above £100,000). Will provide funding for up to 3 years
Aims and outcomes of funder: Support for organisations working with young people (aged up to 18) who are suffering from illness, distress, abuse or neglect, are disabled, have behavioural or psychological difficulties and/or are living in poverty or situations of deprivation
Additional information: Will fund support costs associated directly with a project but will not provide grants for organisational overheads/running costs

Aims and outcomes of funder: Support organisations working to assist homeless people rebuild their lives and return to the community
