If you thought child poverty was a thing of the past think again! Sadly child poverty still exists right here in the Dudley Borough.
What is Dudley HOPE?
Dudley HOPE is a local charity for young people up to the age of 18 from the Dudley Metropolitan Borough.
It is a Registered Charity No. 1076233 and incorporated under the 1985 Companies Act No. 3686003.
HOPE's Mission Statement
"To promote equality for all young people in the Dudley Borough. To help them realise their full potential through the provision of support to those most disadvantaged."
What is the Role of the Charity?
The Charity will focus on providing financial assistance to young people, community organisations and groups who work with disadvantaged 0-18 year olds within the Borough.
The Charity will support community groups to undertake their own initiatives, by offering practical advice and financial support.
Dudley HOPE also encompasses the annual Operation Santa Toy Appeal, which will continue to operate as an arm of the Charity. This ensures that children who would otherwise receive nothing at Christmas, are given a gift or enjoy a trip to the pantomime.
Who Can Apply?
Individuals who are, or work with young people, aged 0-18 years old in the Dudley Borough.
What Grants are available?
Emergency one-off payments usually less than £200.
Quarterly allocations up to a maximum of £1000. NB. The Charity will only support the establishment of new projects to a maximum level of £1000. It is not intended to provide continual funding.
When can we apply?
The Trustees will consider requests for emergency grants at any time. The Trustees will consider applications for quarterly allocations during the months of February, May, September and December.
