About Volunteering
Volunteering is a fantastically rewarding experience. Knowing that you have made a positive difference, however large or small, puts a spring in your step and a smile on the faces of others. You can enhance your existing skills, learn new skills and meet new friends with a shared interest. Volunteering can boost your confidence and it looks great on your C.V.
At the Volunteer Centre in Albion Street, Brierley Hill, we provide advice, support and information for both existing volunteers and new volunteers. Between 1st April 2011 and 31st March 2012, the Volunteer Centre received 615 enquiries from would-be volunteers and conducted 425 face-to-face interviews.
We match potential volunteers to organisations who are looking to recruit to ensure the best placement for the volunteer and maximum benefit to the voluntary organisation. There is a wide range of interest areas and volunteering opportunities to suit everyone.
