Part Time Operations Manager

Communities in Sync (CIS) is a Sandwell based consortium of frontline Health and Social Care providers. The primary objective of the consortium is to improve the well-being of local people, especially the most vulnerable, through the provision of high quality, responsive, services and initiatives.

CIS creates a single point of contracting with the responsibility for setting up and managing sub-contracts which are delivered by the consortium member organisations. All member organisations have met a strict quality threshold and have the capacity, capability and experience of serving the community with a wide range of services.

Since its inception, CIS has grown from strength to strength and they are now looking to expand the team with the addition of an experienced Operations Manager to assist the CEO to achieve the outcomes set out for the consortium.

Primary responsibilities of the role
• Operational management related to concurrent projects and overheads
• Overall operational management of CRM system (project related)
• Management of monitoring, reporting returns
• Information management and governance/file area
• Marketing and mobilisation of new projects
• Marketing, promotion, website and social media

Secondary Responsibilities
• Oversight of HR, managing staff issues and legal advice
• Supporting CEO to maintain strong networks and contacts: relationship management
• Quality accreditation
• Supporting member recruitment of staff

Joint responsibilities (with CEO)
• Visibility at forums, meetings with Sector and other partners
• Governance record keeping and minutes
• CRM and data management
• Org policy development and management
• Minute taking (as and when required)
• Project planning/discussions with member organisations

Requirements
• Valid driver’s licence with good driving record
• Able to work office hours
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Capable of performing Operation Manager’s duties
• Must be happy to complete DBS checks with no convictions
• Self-directed individual who is analytical, with initiative and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and multi-task simultaneously
• Organisational skills, ability to set priorities and execute a plan of action
• Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• A sound understanding of the local third sector (desirable)

Interviews and start date
Interviews late November/early December with a January 2023 start

Location
Sandwell, West Midlands – hybrid working (mostly home based, but expected to attend some meetings in-person)

Working hours and contract duration
3 days a week Monday, Wednesday and Friday ideally but open to negotiation
3 year Contract starting January 2023

Salary and benefits
£19200 with yearly increments
Pension – Nest
Holiday Entitlement – 12 days per year
