Coffin Club in Margarets Memory is launching at Wordsley Community Centre on Saturday 11 February 2023, 10am-2pm. The event will provide a safe space for the local community to talk about death, dying, grief, loss and change.
Coffin Club is a social franchise, an educational platform, a training organisation and an online resource. Death isn’t the easiest subject to talk about but it’s something that is being increasingly discussed by people who want to take control of what happens towards the end of their life and after they have died.
The launch event – Saturday 11 February 2023, 10am-2pm at Wordsley Community Centre
The event is free and anyone can attend. At the event you will find:
- The opportunity to make a memorial heart for a loved one
- Invited speakers, in conversation with Alison Jean Lester, author of Absolutely Delicious
- Local businesses showcasing their work including Winnie & Olive Florist, local funeral director, Mary Steven’s Hospice team, soul doula, celebrant, Betty Fleetwood lay chaplain, Waseley Hills Crematorium staff and Becci Taylor of Bereavement & Beyond
- Cuddles with Bonnie the Therapy Dog.
