Do you deliver youth work in Dudley?
Youth workers predominantly work with children and young people between 11 and 19 years of age, but can support young adults up to the age of 25, depending on their need. What makes youth work distinctive from other services is that youth workers have a voluntary relationship with young people which starts from where the young people are at, their interests, goals and experiences. If the answer is yes, we would love for you to join us on Monday 26th February, 4pm till 6pm at DY1 Community Building for the first Dudley Youth Work Network meeting.
The meeting will be jointly hosted by Dudley Council and Dudley CVS and will provide an opportunity to learn about and explore the following topics:
- Understanding the new local authority statutory duty and how the voluntary and community sector can support this
- Mapping exercise and responding to the needs of young people in Dudley
- Training opportunities for the youth sector
Ruth Rickman-Wiliams from Youth Focus will be joining us to talk about available opportunities, including bursaries for youth worker training.
Please book places via Eventbrite where full details of the venue can be found: http://tinyurl.com/tm9xkk4p
