This is an invitation to a embark on or deepen your own learning and doing journey around nature connection in your organisation, supported by an open peer learning community.
Nature connected organisations and teams recognise, value, and nurture close relationships with nature.
They are committed to fostering strong human-nature relationships, and to the protection and restoration of nature. While organisations may recognise the multiple threats arising from a broken human-nature relationship, and work to mitigate the effects of this, it is just as important that they recognise their potential to bring positive change into the world by taking steps to heal that relationship. (From the Nature Connected Organisations Handbook, University of Derby.)
In this learning and doing journey anyone can bring ideas, resources to share, challenges to work through with peers, showcase successes and more. We can make use of great tools to help us turn our aspirations into action, testing and experimenting in small, safe ways. This peer learning community will convene seasonally and will be a space which encourages creativity and experimentation.
HOW YOU CAN JOIN IN
We will convene seasonally on the following dates:
Autumn: Wed 9 October, 1pm-3pm
Winter: Wed 8 January, 1pm-3pm
Spring: Wed 2 April, 1pm-3pm
Summer: Wed 2 July, 1pm-3pm
You can sign up to upcoming sessions on Eventbrite.
Each session will be different and will respond to where you are at in your journey. When you sign up you can indicate and suggest what you would most like to do or explore in a session. Learning will evolve with our explorations. There will be options to spend time in smaller learning pods if there are a range of ideas people want to explore.
You don’t have to come to every session. We all have different commitments and our energy changes throughout the year. If you make one session and can’t make the next one you will always be welcome. We hope you won’t feel left behind as we will share documentation following each session.
