Sing Together with The People’s Show Choir!

Do you love to sing like no one is watching but convinced you could never do it properly? Are you yearning to unleash your inner singer? Come and sing your heart out at The People’s Show Choir!

In 2019, The People’s Show Choir was established as an initiative to complement their existing ensemble, The People’s Orchestra – a registered Midlands-based charity providing access to music and creative arts for all. Since launching the Halesowen choir, they attract around 60-70 people in attendance every week! They are delighted their Halesowen choir has proven popular with the locals and it has become a steadfast addition to the TPSC family!

Feedback from their members of all ages and backgrounds range from loving the uplifting and feel-good experience from singing together as part of a big group to the friendly and supportive atmosphere during rehearsal. Their choir leader Chris is musically trained and experienced to get every member, even after a hard, stressful day, coming out of rehearsals feeling upbeat and less stressed. Speaking of songs, they provide a mix of light popular music from chart-history and uplifting melodies from films, TV and musical theatre.

As with all their choirs, there is no singing experience or auditions needed – simply bring yourselves, have a go and see if you enjoy it! They offer everyone two free weeks with Halesowen (yes, it’s that good!) so anyone can get a feel of what they offer and help them settle in at no cost!

They also give their choirs opportunities to perform to the public such as at pop-up concerts, charity fundraising in their local area or live in concert singing with their People’s Orchestra!

Want to give it a try? This term, Halesowen is currently rehearsing for their upcoming massed Christmas concert, held at the prestigious Birmingham Town Hall as well as bringing the TPSC family on an exciting trip to Poland for a series of pop-up concerts in mid-2024!
