Professionals can now click online to make a specialist referral to Dudley Adult Social Care.

The Adult Social Care in Dudley new online portal has launched its ‘Professional Specialist Referral’ section. In here professionals can request help for others to receive support to stay safe and independent at home.

In addition, professionals can register a carer, input a safeguarding concern, make a therapy referral and access service providers.

All of this information can be found within the ‘Professional’ tile on the home page.

What is the Adult Social Care in Dudley portal?

The portal is part of Dudley Council’s commitment to make it easier for everyone to find out about adult social care. It offers a new and secure way for residents, carers, partners and professionals to interact online.

The portal is in addition to the current ways of communicating with Adult Social Care.

What can residents do on the new system?

Resident support includes tiles for carers and for reporting worries about someone who may be at risk of abuse, or who is being abused.

People can also use the financial assessment section to see if they would need to contribute financially to their care. Residents can find out about local groups and activities to participate in, plus they can refer themselves to be assessed for care to remain safe and well at home.

It is going live in phases and will be complete by autumn 2022.
