Voluntary Sector Engagement Session 3: Integrated Care System and Dudley’s Health and Care Partnership
When: Thursday 16th February, 1:00pm – 3:30pm
Where: DY1 Hall, Stafford Street, Dudley, DY1 1RT
Integrated care systems (ICSs) are partnerships of health and care organisations (including voluntary & community sector) that come together to plan and deliver joined-up services and to improve the health of people who live and work in their area. The Black Country partnership is called Black Country Integrated Care Board. They exist to achieve four aims:
- Improve outcomes in population health and healthcare
- Tackle inequalities in outcomes, experience and access
- Enhance productivity and value for money
- Help the NHS support broader social and economic development.
Place-based partnerships form part of the ICS structure and are local collaborative arrangements that have been formed across the country by the organisations responsible for arranging and delivering health and care services in a locality or community. Locally, there is a Dudley Place-Based Partnership called Dudley Health and Care Partnership which was formally established in July 2022.
Dudley CVS is continuing to host a number of Voluntary and Community Sector Engagement events during 2023. This third session will provide the opportunity to:
- Learn about plans for Local Implementation Teams (LITS).
- Take part in discussions about how the voluntary and community sector can participate in the emerging work streams.
- Get updates on local developments.
