Dudley Carers Alliance are inviting carers and local carer organisations to collaborate in developing potential project ideas, in order to apply to the Government’s Accelerated Reform Fund, which the council can apply for in January 2024. The Accelerated Reform Fund is two years of funding to kickstart the development of local projects that support unpaid carers and people who draw on care and support services.
Projects will need to focus on some key priorities:
- Ways to support unpaid carers to enjoy breaks that are tailored to their needs.
- Services that reach out to and involve unpaid carers through the discharge process.
- Ways to better identify unpaid carers in local areas.
The workshop will take place on 13th December 2023 from 10:30 until 12:30 and is being hosted at the Brett Young Carers Hub, Old Hawne Lane, Halesowen B63 3ST.
