Local singer-songwriter Dan Whitehouse, beat-boxing poet laureate Jasmine Gardosi and percussionist Alex Lowe are combining forces to bring cycling to people’s attention through music, rhythm and words.

At these fun, free, inclusive songwriting workshops you will draw inspiration from everything about cycling: from the Black Country’s rich cycling history; your own cycling experience (if any); to the sounds and rhythms a bike makes – from the percussive nature of the wheels and the creaky chain, to the tick-tock of the pedals, the bell – and exploring words and lyrics.

No experience necessary, suitable for all ages/abilities. Commissioned by West Midlands Cycle & Walk

Venue: St Michael’s Church, Brierley Hill.
Workshop 1: Thurs Aug 29, 2.30-5pm
Workshop 2: Thurs Sept 5, 2.30-5pm
Workshop3: Thurs Sept13, 2.30-5pm
Workshop 4: Thurs Sept 13, 7-9pm
