Dudley CVS Achieves Local Infrastructure Quality Accreditation (LIQA)

We are thrilled to announce an exciting development for Dudley CVS. On 28 January, we proudly achieved the Local Infrastructure Quality Accreditation (LIQA), a prestigious quality mark that demonstrates the quality of our offer and impact in supporting local voluntary, community, and social enterprise organisations across the Dudley borough.

The LIQA was awarded following an independent assessment of our organisation against NAVCA’s four core functions of local infrastructure: leadership and advocacy, partnerships and collaboration, capacity building, and volunteering. We are proud to share that Dudley CVS exceeded expectations in all four areas, achieving the highest grade possible. This achievement demonstrates our commitment to nurturing vibrant communities and delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of our local sector.

Achieving the LIQA highlights our dedication to fostering resilience and positive change throughout our communities. It also reinforces our commitment to working collaboratively with partners, ensuring that we continue playing an essential role in the community.

Neil Bucktin from NHS Black Country ICB shared his perspective on Dudley CVS’s established credibility and leadership role. He highlighted the organisation’s ability to forge connections within the voluntary and community sector and other sectors. With over 16 years in his position, Neil emphasised how Dudley CVS has been instrumental in providing valuable intelligence on local communities and insights into “lived experience”.

He said that Dudley CVS also played a helpful role in ensuring that investment in the sector was used effectively through grant making schemes; with its “Really good advocacy” and representative role on Boards. It meant the sector has a “constant voice in the space”. He concluded that Dudley CVS were, “Agile – flexible – great value.”.

As we embark on this new year, we remain committed to maintaining these high standards and look forward to the exciting challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
