Safe and Sound, Dudley’s community safety partnership, warmly invite you to attend a FREE Hate Crime training session delivered by Remedi, the West Midlands Hate Crime Victim Support Service.
As one of the most prevalent crimes in the UK, we must do all we can to inform and support those who could potentially be impacted by a Hate Crime or how they can help someone who has been impacted by a Hate Crime.
Following the training, we hope that delegates will be able to:
• Identify what a Hate Crime and Hate Incident is
• Identify how Hate Crime looks within the law
• Identify impacts of Hate Crime on Victims
• Identify microaggressions
• Understand how and why to report
The learning objectives are detailed and focused and use local, Remedi-based knowledge to assist in the delegates learning.
This training package requires attendees to pledge and consider what they will do to support Hate Crime victims moving forward.
The course is 3 ½ hours and will run 6 times in total, 3 ‘in person’ and 3 via MS teams and is open to anyone working or volunteering in the Dudley Borough across all sectors. Please use the below links to book onto a session (if options for all sessions don’t show immediately click on ‘more options’ under ‘date and time’).
