Plunkett is a UK-wide charity helping residents to explore collective community ownership or leasehold of their local pub.
They can help communities to think about the idea, and guide you step by step with specialist advisers right the way through the process. They can also help if you’d like to use a vacant unit to set up a community micropub for example. There is no condition that alcohol needs to be served; this is about creating an open-access social community space that works for you.
There are now almost 150 community pubs across the UK, providing not just food and drink, but an inclusive social space for and with the people that live near them.
