Halesowen Singers Join 350 Voices for Inaugural Concert at Warwick Arts Centre Solihull, UK

On Saturday 13th April, 58 singers from Halesowen joined over 350 singers from across the UK, along with The People’s Orchestra, for their inaugural concert at Warwick Arts Centre. The Massed choirs of The People’s Show Choirs took to the stage with The People’s Orchestra to perform a selection of songs, including “Sit Down You’re Rockin’ The Boat,” “I See The Light,” and “May It Be” from Lord of the Rings.

The concert was a resounding success, with Halesowen participants expressing their joy and excitement about the experience.

Clare says, “Loved every minute! Thank you for making us incredible!”

Tink says, “What an amazing day, good fun, good friends, amazing singing….as always!”

Nicola said, “Had such a good time today, absolutely love concert days”

Carolyn says, “Really enjoyed my first concert, don’t feel so much of a newbie now!” She went on to say, “Hearing us perform ‘I See The Light’ with the whole choirs and the orchestra gave me goosebumps!”

Chris Weber, leader of Halesowen choir, said after the concert, “Thank you so much for a day of great enjoyment and laughs topped off by an outstanding concert. I’m so proud of you all! You are simply MARVELLOUS!”

2024 is set to be an exciting year for TPSC as the choirs prepare for their first-ever international trip to Krakow, Poland on the 25th of May.
