After 30 years of supporting families and children, our friends at Home-Start Dudley are sad to announce that they have ceased operations in relation to closure of the charity.
It is appreciated that families, supporters and borough communities will share the disappointment following the difficult decision to close the charity.
The operating environment for charities, particularly small charities, is increasingly difficult. Home-Start Dudley has faced a number of ongoing and anticipated challenges and pressures impacting the sustainability of the charity. The charity’s closure reflects the difficult times the sector is experiencing.
Home-Start Dudley would like to give heartfelt thanks to all of the volunteers, staff and trustees for their dedication, commitment and caring over their many years of serving Dudley borough. Their contribution has been integral to helping Home-Start Dudley make a positive and meaningful difference for local families. Sincere gratitude is expressed to their valued supporters and partners for everything they have done to help carry out their important work.
While this is a difficult and sad time for all concerned, Home-Start Dudley are proud of the contribution they have made to helping children and families make the most of and navigate the challenges of family life. They are also proud that they have been able to provide rewarding volunteering opportunities for local people who have generously given their time and energy to help others. Home-Start Dudley report that it has been a real privilege to serve Dudley borough. Thank you to everyone who has been part of contributing to and supporting Home-Start Dudley.
Please note, this news does not affect any other West Midlands based local Home-Start’s and nationally, the Home-Start Network continues to provide support for families with young children.
