It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Freda Sunter, who died at Mary Stevens Hospice on 15 July 2026, just two months short of her 103rd birthday.
Freda was a founding member of Dudley CVS and played a significant role in supporting and strengthening voluntary and community organisations across Dudley borough. Her dedication, commitment, and service to the voluntary sector touched the lives of many people and left a lasting legacy within our communities.
Freda’s funeral will take place on Tuesday 1 September 2026 at Stourbridge Crematorium, commencing at 2.10 pm.
Family flowers only. Donations in Freda’s memory to Mary Stevens Hospice are welcome: fredasunter.muchloved.com
The service will be followed by a reception at The Lounge, Porters Undertakers, South Road, Stourbridge.
Anyone wishing to join the family at the funeral and reception is kindly asked to contact Tim Sunter via Freda@sunter.uk so that appropriate catering arrangements can be made.
Our thoughts and condolences are with Freda’s family and friends at this difficult time. Her contribution to Dudley CVS and the wider voluntary sector will be remembered with gratitude and affection.
