Top Church, located at the top of Dudley High Street, is home to a growing congregation, aspiring to be a highly visible, outward facing church. They have a vision for the church to be a blessing to local communities across Dudley. To date, this has seen the Top Church building become a hub of worship and community activity in the centre of the town six days a week.
They have the following three opportunities available:
Activities and Education Officer
Part-time post of 18.5 hours per week (including some Saturdays) (0.5 FTE) for a fixed term of 18 months.
Salary: £25,000 per annum (pro-rata) plus pension contributions
To help deliver an 18 month programme of engaging activities for families and children. This will involve leading and supporting existing activities, such as weekly Places of Welcome and Tiny Town, as well as helping to develop education initiatives with local schools through their ‘Experience Dudley’ weeks.
Community Hubs Leader
Full-time post of 37.5 hours per week. The role is currently for a fixed term of two years, although the aspiration is to extend this further should additional funding be secured.
Salary: £31,500 per annum plus pension contributions
To lead on establishing the community hubs at St John’s and St Francis. This role is integral to delivering Top Church’s vision to re-establish active community engagement and mission within the heart of their estates. The role will be responsible for seeing both churches open to the community most days of the week by establishing a range of services, resources and networks.
Assistant Operations Manager
Part-time post of 18.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE). The role is currently for a fixed term of two years, although the aspiration is to extend this further should additional funding be secured.
Salary: £25,000 per annum (pro-rata) plus pension contributions
To support this vision by ensuring sound governance, administration, financial management and safeguarding. This will be actioned through the ‘Dudley Team’, which is a body responsible for providing pastoral and administrative support to Anglican churches in Dudley. They are keen for the Dudley Team to become a registered charity and this role will be integral to seeing this to fruition.
