Job opportunity with Dudley Stroke Association

Dudley Stroke Association are seeking a Chief Officer to continue to move the organisation forward. Applicants should be well organised and dynamic and able to lead, direct, and manage the charity’s day-to-day operations to achieve high-quality and positive outcomes for service users within the Dudley Borough.

Knowledge of the voluntary sector and experience in accessing funding is essential.

Duties

– Manage and support the development of staff and resources to meet these targets, identifying potential areas of improvement and overseeing agreed changes in service delivery
– Manage the implementation of service contracts ensuring a service is provided that fulfils funding requirements
– Oversee the administration relevant to the work of current projects, implementing policy and procedures, to ensure good practice
– To promote awareness of Dudley Stroke Association and how the charity can support service users
– Liaise with service users and providers as required to improve the delivery of services for people after a stroke, identifying areas of unmet need
– Ensure the provision of a quality service demonstrated by a system of outcomes that show the difference made
– Participate fully in management and board meetings.
– Ensure that key messages and policies are communicated and promoted to all possible strategic partners, policy makers, the media, general public, service users and others interested in the needs of people who have suffered stroke and their carers
– To plan and implement annual development and marketing plans as agreed with the directors

Requirements

– Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
– Experience in developing policies and procedures that enhance patient care quality
– Ability to analyse data effectively to inform decision-making processes.

Salary

£37,035 pro rata 4 days per week (30 hours per week) equates to £35,745.
