Job opportunity with SCVO

Our friends at SCVO are recruiting for a Charity Digital Connector. The successful candidate will lead and develop an exciting new digital project that will support charities and community groups in Sandwell to make a bigger difference through their use of information technology.

The Charity Digital Connector will have a passion for helping people use everyday IT applications and will be a strong communicator. They will be able to coach and guide community leaders, paid staff and volunteers and to build their knowledge, skills and confidence in using IT.

This two-year project will enable Sandwell not-for-profits and voluntary groups to form a clearer view on how they can utilise digital better, access formal training and informal guidance. It will also bring staff and volunteers together to share knowledge and practice through a peer network.

SCVO is a well-established charitable organisation based in West Bromwich acting as an umbrella body for the Voluntary and Community Sector in serving over 1,000 community organisations, charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises in Sandwell.  Its mission is to ensure that the Sector is effective and sustainable to support all local residents in the best ways possible.
