Who can apply: Registered charities with an income of less than £1 million.
Size of grant available: Grants range from £1,000 to £5,000
Priorities: The funding is aimed at local registered charities providing services to improve the quality of life and prospects of vulnerable young people between the ages of 13 to 25 and the elderly.
How to apply: An online application form is available on the Pothecary Witham Weld Solicitors website.

Severn Trent Community Fund – New Project Funding

Deadline: 02/08/2026
Who can apply: Any type of not-for-profit
Size of grant available: Two levels of grants are available: £2,000 to £20,000 – up to 24 months for project completion and £20,001 to £50,000 – up to 24 months for project completion.
Priorities: The funding is for local projects, charities and community groups across the Severn Trent region to improve community wellbeing
How to apply: Applications are open in 2026 with the following remaining deadlines:

– 2 August 2026 – for applications for £20,000 to £50,000
– 31 August 2026 – for applications for £2,000 to £20,000

Alfred Haines Charitable Trust

Who can apply: Smaller charities based and working in Birmingham, Dudley, Sandwell, and Solihull are eligible to apply.
Size of grant available: £250 to £2,000
Priorities: The Trust offers one-off grants to small charitable organisations based in the West Midlands, to support projects and activities which improve the quality of life of local people
How to apply: Applications may be submitted at any time and are considered quarterly. All appeals should be made in writing. Email applications are not accepted.

enfinium Community Benefit Funding Programme

Who can apply: Any type of not-for-profit
Size of grant available: Discretionary
Priorities: The funding is available for local groups and organisations based near an enfinium facility for any of the following causes:

– Environment (for example the promotion of clean energy, waste reduction and/or recycling improvement)
– Education
– Improved standards of health, safety and wellbeing
– Social inclusion and community wellbeing
– Young people
– Enhancement of the wider community (including skills and educational development, environmental improvements and activities that improve community cohesion)

Philip Bates Trust

Who can apply: Any type of not-for-profit. Applications from individuals are also accepted
Size of grant available: £500
Priorities: The Trust aims to encourage talent, increase confidence and create opportunities for young people (under the age of 25 years old) in the arts through:

– Recognition of achievement.
– The provision of financial support.
– Support art education.
– Encourage performance and exhibition.
– Promote artistic diversity.

B. Funders with a national interest: 

Men’s Health Community Fund

Deadline: 15/07/2026
Who can apply: Any type of not-for-profit that are already doing meaningful work with men and who want to strengthen, develop and share learning about what makes that work effective.
Size of grant available: Around £6.3 million will be made available:
– DHSC is committing up to £3 million with grants of between £75,000 and £125,000 each. Earliest project start date January 2027.
– Movember is committing £3 million to support up to 15 grants (between £150,000 and £300,000 each) of up to three years. Earliest project start date January 2027.
– People’s Health Trust is committing £300,000, with fundraising planned to increase to up to £1.25 million.
Priorities: The fund is intended to support projects that improve the physical, mental and social wellbeing of men and boys aged 16 and over, with a particular focus on those living in disadvantaged communities or experiencing the poorest health outcomes.
Its objectives include reaching men who are underserved or disengaged from traditional services, delivering support in trusted community settings, addressing the wider social determinants of health such as housing, employment and debt, and building a stronger evidence base around what works in improving men’s health. In addition, it emphasises prevention and early intervention and provides support during key life transitions, such as becoming a father, experiencing job loss, or entering retirement.

This funding opportunity consists of the following three funds which have different levels of grants and different application windows:

– DHSC funding envelope (up to £3 million) supports programmes for two groups:
– Men aged 35–59 who are unemployed, economically inactive or facing economic precarity.
– Older men (60+) experiencing key life transitions (eg, retirement, bereavement, relationship breakdown, caring responsibilities etc.).
– Movember funding envelope (£3 million) supports programmes for young men aged 16–35, with a focus on community-based approaches that strengthen social connection and encourage men to prioritise their mental health and wellbeing – seeking help when needed.
– People’s Health Trust funding envelope (£300,000+) supports programmes for men working in industry. Applications to open later in 2026.
How to apply: Funding rounds will open at different times across the partners:

– Applications for the DHSC funding is via the Gov.UK ‘Find a Grant’ website.
– Applications for Movember funding must be submitted directly via the Movember website.
– There is a two stage application process. Expressions of Interest are accepted from 22 June 2026 to 15 July 2026 (17:00).

Organisations must apply to one funding stream only; applications spanning multiple streams will not be considered.

Giving Machine – Community Grants

Deadline: 31/07/2026
Who can apply: Any type of not-for-profit with an annual income of under £1 million
Size of grant available: £250
Priorities: The fund is intended to give small unrestricted grants to UK not-for-profit organisations to enable them to continue their work
How to apply: Guidance and an application form are available from the Giving Machine website.

A B Charitable Trust

Deadline: 31/07/2026
Who can apply: Registered charities only with an income between £150,000 and £1.5 million that have operated for at least a year and be able to provide a full year’s audited or independently examined accounts
Size of grant available: Most grants are in the range of £10,000 to £40,000 per year and are awarded from one to three years.
Priorities: The Trust aims to support charities that promote human dignity and defend the human rights of marginalised and excluded people in the UK
How to apply: An online application form is available to complete on the AB Charitable Trust’s website. Initially, applicants are advised to select the priority that they wish to apply under to be taken through a four-step process to determine their eligibility before completing and submitting the full application.

Barchester Healthcare Foundation

Deadline: 31/07/2026
Who can apply: Small community groups and indivuduals aged 65+
Size of grant available: Grants range from £100 to £2,600
Priorities: The Foundation aims to make a difference to the lives of older people and other adults with a physical, learning or mental disability; supporting practical solutions that lead to increased personal independence, self-sufficiency and dignity. Applications that combat loneliness and enable people to be active and engaged will receive highest priority

D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust

Deadline: 31/07/2026
Who can apply: Registered or exempt charities only.
Size of grant available: Grants generally range from £500 to £8,000.
Unrestricted funding is available for charities with an income of under £250,000.
Work must begin at least two months after groups have been informed of the decision unless they have secured at least 75% of the funds they require
Priorities: The funding is for charitable work in the UK that addresses the objectives of the Trust, which are:

– Performing arts.
– Creative health.
– Heritage crafts.
The Trust’s focus is on projects that increase access for communities that face barriers to opportunity.

Screwfix Foundation

Deadline: 10/08/2026
Who can apply: Registered charities, community benefits societies and community interest companies
Size of grant available: Grants of up to £5,000 are available.
Priorities: The funding is intended for both national and local charities across the UK so that they can fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and community facilities specifically for those in need (by reason of financial hardship, sickness, disability or other disadvantage or distress) in the UK.
Due to the very high number of applications received each quarter, Screwfix will give priority to the following projects:
– Where Screwfix is funding the project in full.
– Where the project will directly benefit people in need and will have a lasting impact

B&Q Foundation – Home Starter Kit Grants

Deadline: 14/08/2026
Who can apply: Registered charities only
Size of grant available: Grants of up to £10,000 are available for kits, with a maximum allocation of £500 per kit. Kits to be delivered within 12 months
Priorities: The funding is intended for UK charities working to improve the lives of people in need by supporting projects that make homes safe, welcoming, and comfortable.Grants support home starter kits to help individuals and families facing homelessness, domestic abuse, disabilities, illness, or financial hardship to feel more settled and supported in their living spaces

Worshipful Company of Information Technologists Charity

Deadline: 14/08/2026
Who can apply: Any type of not-for-profit
Size of grant available: Generally, grants of up to £15,000 are available.
Priorities: Funding of IT-related projects and provision of pro-bono IT consultancy which help achieve the WCIT Charity’s priorities

Grocers’ Charity Grant

Deadline: 15/08/2026
Who can apply: Registered charities with a turnover below £500,000
Size of grant available: One-off grants are usually for up to £5,000, with larger grants being made for more exceptional projects
Priorities: The Charity provides one-off grants for UK registered charities to support the following areas:

– Relief of hardship
– Children and young people (from birth to 25 years old)
– The elderly
– Disability and inclusion
– Health
– Military
– Heritage
– The arts
– Environment and conservation
How to apply: There is a two-stage application process:

– The first stage is to submit the Initial Enquiry form. Groups will receive a reply within up to three weeks after the deadline.
– The second stage is by invitation only to those who were successful at stage one. They will be sent a link to fill in an online form which they will have one week to complete.
Applicants should complete the online eligibility checklist for the relevant area to access the online enquiry form.

Warburtons Families Matter Community Grants Programme

Deadline: 17/08/2026
Who can apply: Not-for-profit organisations with charitable purposes that are operating in England, Scotland and Wales are eligible to apply.
Size of grant available: Community grants of up to and including £400 are available.
Priorities: The principle aim of this funding is to focus on supporting families that need help the most, in a way which adheres to their principles of transparency, trust and transformation.
The aim of these small community grants is to support projects, activities and organisations that will be of real direct benefit to families and have a direct and tangible social impact on people’s lives
How to apply: To access the application form, groups should click on the link on the Financial Giving section of the Warburton website. They will be redirected to the application form hosted by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).

Hilden Charitable Fund – UK Programmes

Deadline: 21/08/2026
Who can apply: Small registered charities only
Size of grant available: Grants will usually be in the range of £5,000 to £7,000 per year for up to two years
Priorities: The funding is for projects taking place in the UK that address one of the following:

– Asylum Seekers and Refugees – For organisations working to provide essential services which help meet the needs of asylum seekers and refugees and support their integration/participation in the wider community.
– Penal Affairs – for work “through the door” where charitable organisations go into prisons with projects and support to help prisoners (especially women) cope and/or maintain family bonds and to be better able to resettle positively when released. Post-release projects which support positive settlement, re-stablishing family bonds, and a reduction in the likelihood of re-offending are also welcomed.
Please note the information presented here may change for the new funding round which is expected to open for applications in Summer 2026.
