Dudley CVS are excited to be part of a new opportunity. We will work with the Dudley Family Hubs network to develop a brand new peer support network, consisting of grant funded projects, which will work with volunteers to provide peer support to parents and caregivers across the borough.

Following a successful initial round of funding, we are now welcoming applications for a second round. Our aim is to increase the offer in key locations and to ensure representation for specific underserved communities.

  •  All applications are welcome and will be considered.
  • Specifically targeting groups located in Halesowen, Dudley North & DY9 postcode area.
  • Specifically targeting groups that offer support for parents and caregivers who are adoptive parents, grandparents, same-sex parents , single parents and parents and caregivers who support children with special needs.

£200,000.00 is being made available to ‘not-for-profit’ groups and organisations across Dudley to improve and enhance current peer support projects or to develop new peer support projects. The majority of the funding will be allocated to projects benefitting parents and caregivers of children in the first 1001 days (conception to 2 years of age). We would like groups and organisations to give thought to how they will reach parents and caregivers from underserved communities and those experiencing low to moderate mental health problems.

Applications focusing on projects within one locality will be considered for grants between £500 and £4000 and those across multiple localities, up to the value of £15,000.

The second round of applications will follow this schedule:

Deadline for Application

5pm on Friday 29th March

Successful Applicants notified
Wednesday 10th April
Projects to commence
May 2024

Being part of the peer support network will enable groups and organisations to seek out opportunities to collaborate, share learning, exchange resources and expertise and celebrate successes together. Dudley CVS will be committed to offering groups and organisations support with developing their volunteer offers to include people with lived experience. Dudley CVS will work with the network to co-produce a quality standard for peer support in Dudley and support with promotion via a dedicated page on our website.

We hope that the above guidance pack will provide you with more information and answer any questions that you may have, however, if there is anything that we haven’t covered or if you wish to discuss your ideas with us, please don’t hesitate to get in touch by emailing ben@dudleycvs.org.uk
