Powered by CAN is recruiting for two roles as part of a new initiative supporting organisations and children & young people across the Black Country. This project strengthens collaboration between organisations, youth-led initiatives, and community partners to drive long-term, inclusive, and sustainable change for children, young people, and communities.
They are looking for passionate, values-led professionals to help shape regeneration, investment, and cross-sector collaboration across the region.
1. Network Manager
Programme: Black Country Network
Location: PBC Office / Place-based in the Black Country
Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term to March 2030
Salary: £35,027 per annum
About the Role:
Lead strategic and operational delivery of the Black Country Network, connecting organisations, young people, and community partners to drive long-term, place-based change. Embed youth voice, partnership working, and systems change across the network.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead delivery across all programme strands.
Build and broker relationships with organisations, funders, and policymakers.
Facilitate youth participation and co-design in network activities.
Oversee governance, safeguarding, and risk management.
Support Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) and contribute to long-term sustainability.
Manage programme staff and resources.
Essential Experience & Skills:
5+ years leading complex, place-based programmes or networks.
Strong partnership-building, relationship brokerage, and facilitation skills.
Experience working with children, young people, or community-led organisations.
Knowledge of systems thinking and youth participation.
Excellent communication, organisation, and strategic planning skills.

2. Regeneration & Investment Officer
Programme: Black Country Network
Location: PBC Office / Place-based in the Black Country
Contract: Part-time (20 hours/week), Fixed Term to March 2030
Salary: £28,288 pro rata
About the Role:
Lead place-based regeneration, investment, and funding activity across the Black Country Network. Support organisations and young people to access resources, influence decisions, and shape regeneration outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop investment and funding opportunities.
Build relationships with funders, commissioners, philanthropists, and businesses.
Support organisations to become investment-ready and develop sustainable proposals.
Represent the network in regeneration and planning forums.
Map investment flows, track social impact, and contribute to MEL.
Essential Experience & Skills:
3+ years’ experience in regeneration, investment, or funding development.
Proven ability to map funding and investment landscapes.
Strong relationship-building, research, and analytical skills.
Ability to support organisations to access funding and develop business models.
Understanding of inclusive growth, community wealth-building, and multi-stakeholder environments.
