Spring into Action was the launch of our new social prescribing fund which aims to offer funding opportunities to organisations and artists who wish to apply to get their creative projects off the ground. Our launch day was an interactive, immersive experience where guests were given the chance to experience first-hand some of the amazing green social prescribing provisions that Integrated Plus have already championed and funded.

Ekho Collective C.I.C invited guests to join them in making seed paper, potting up seedlings, making handmade paper pots and printing gift bags. There interactive session explored the possibilities of reusing and recycling to create new and beautiful treasures.

Our Walk & Draw group created a beautiful, nature inspired space and invited guests to join them to explore arts in nature. Guests had the opportunity to sit peacefully and listen to the sound of bird song, whilst taking in the scents and sights of many plants and herbs and then decided on how best to capture them through sketching, stencilling or painting.

Gemma and Lorna from Dudley CVS spent some time exploring Nature Connectedness and ways in which we can all engage and embrace nature in our everyday life. Guests were invited to express themselves through nature journaling and even pop on their raincoats and visit the civic car park to discover that nature really is everywhere.

John and Becky form Dudley CVS Group Development were on hand to chat with potential funders to explore and answer any questions that they may have about applying for the Spring Into Action Fund.

As well as these wonderful, immersive workshops guest were also invited to enjoy a gorgeous vegetarian lunch provided by Lunch on the Run and to hear original pieces of poetry from Claire Tedstone about her battles and bravery in her journey with her mental health. Claire spoke beautifully about how green social prescribing has transformed her journey and given her the kindness, patience and understanding to work through her struggles and live a more authentic and peaceful existence.

Applications are now open for funding proposals  – all you need to do is tell us about your idea to support the community.
