Voluntary Sector Engagement Session 2: Integrated Care System and Dudley’s Health and Care Partnership
When: Thursday 8th December, 9:30am – 12:00pm
Where: Brierley Hill Civic Hall
Post covid Dudley CVS has embarked on facilitating a series of events to reconnect people and organisations, to introduce colleagues to local system changes and offer an opportunity for them to shape and influence developments.
Integrated care systems (ICSs) are partnerships of health and care organisations (including voluntary & community sector) that come together to plan and deliver joined-up services and to improve the health of people who live and work in their area. The Black Country partnership is called Black Country Integrated Care Board. They exist to achieve four aims:
• Improve outcomes in population health and healthcare
• Tackle inequalities in outcomes, experience and access
• Enhance productivity and value for money
• Help the NHS support broader social and economic development.
Place-based partnerships form part of the ICS structure and are local collaborative arrangements that have been formed across the country by the organisations responsible for arranging and delivering health and care services in a locality or community. Locally, there is a Dudley Place-Based Partnership called Dudley Health and Care Partnership which was formally established in July 2022.
Dudley CVS is hosting a series of sessions for the voluntary and community sector on the Integrated Care System and Dudley’s Place Based Partnership. The first session held in July provided the opportunity for the sector to get up to speed with developments with the ICS and local place-based arrangements. This second session will provide the opportunity to:
· Get up to speed with developments and progress on the first four workstreams which are Children’s, Mental Health, Clinical Hub and Integrated Care Teams.
· Learn about proposals for additional new workstreams.
· Contribute to discussions about how the sector can help shape developments and contribute to the work of the additional work streams.
