Please have your say on the support you would like for your voluntary and community organisation.

You may have heard that Dudley Council is developing a new service specification (the services Dudley Council wants to buy) for voluntary and community sector infrastructure support. Voluntary and community sector infrastructure support is the work that we do to support the sector across Dudley borough. Defined by the government and our national body NAVCA, infrastructure support covers four functions:

– Volunteering – nurturing volunteering opportunities so that volunteers and their communities can thrive
– Capacity building – providing practical support to people and organisations to strengthen voluntary and community organisations (eg. setting up a group, constitutions, training for committee members, registering as a charity, company, CIC, business planning, fundraising, financial management, compliance, policies and procedures)
– Partnerships and collaboration – building networks of local organisations and strategic partners
– Leadership and advocacy – Mobilising and encouraging community action, strengthening the sector’s influence on decision-makers and funders

Dudley CVS is currently part-funded by Dudley Council to deliver this work and we would love Dudley Council to hear from you about the support you’ve received and how this might be shaped in the future. Dudley Council has developed this short survey. The deadline for completing the survey is Monday 31st March, 10pm.
