Happy Volunteers’ Week!

We are thrilled to dedicate National Volunteers’ Week to all the individuals who give their time and make a difference by volunteering in Dudley Borough!

To celebrate volunteers, we’re holding a range of free events and a social media campaign throughout the entire week. So, whether you’re a volunteer, a volunteer-involving group, or want to learn more about volunteering, then come along!

 

✨Great Outdoors Volunteer Celebration – Wednesday 4th June✨

We warmly invite volunteers who look after our outdoor spaces to our free volunteer celebration! Whether you are part of a Friends of Parks group, volunteer in a garden, or make a difference to your local outdoor spaces, then drop by to celebrate National Volunteers’ Week with us!

• Free cake and hot drinks 🍰
• Goodie bags for volunteers 🛍️ (subject to availability)

This is a fantastic opportunity meet fellow outdoor volunteers, share experiences, and learn more about volunteering in Dudley Borough!

• Date: Wednesday 4th June, from 11.00am to 2.00pm
• Location: Stevens Park (by the Community Cafe), Quarry Bank (Dy5 2HR)

✨Dudley’s Big Volunteer Thank You – Saturday 7th June✨

We warmly invite volunteers and volunteer-involving groups across Dudley Borough to our ‘Big Volunteer Thank You’ event. Join us for a morning and afternoon of celebration and appreciation for everything volunteers’ do! Whether you are a volunteer, a volunteer-involving group, or thinking about volunteering, come along to enjoy:

• Date: Saturday 7^th June from 11.00am-2.30pm (Please note, a volunteer’s poem will be read at 12.00pm)
• Location: DY1 Community Venue (DY1 1SA)

As part of National Volunteers’ Week, we want to spotlight volunteers and all the amazing things they do across Dudley Borough! 

Whether you want to share what volunteering means to you, spotlight a volunteer you may know, or share an inspirational volunteering story, then we want to hear from you! We will be posting volunteer stories and spotlights on our social media platforms and website from Monday 2nd June to Friday 6th June.
