WMCA’s Free Tree Giveaways Are Back!

The West Midlands Combined Authority Environment Team have just launched their Tree Giveaway. The giveaway is taking place across the whole of the West Midlands this year, and can offer packs of 50 – 250 trees for people to plant at home in their gardens or in pots. This could also be for your local community garden, school, or community centre. They are available to either attend your events to give free small trees to people OR provide tree packs for you to plant.

‘Planting trees, particularly native varieties, benefits your local ecosystem, helping insects and other animals to survive. Trees provide protection and shelter for many birds and mammals. Their nuts, seeds, and fruits are essential food sources for British wildlife. Planting trees also helps to combat climate change.
