On Saturday 30th September, Dudley Integrated Health and Care NHS Trust will be hosting a celebratory event to herald the start of Black History Month.
Taking place 12:00pm until 4:00pm at the Dudley African Caribbean Community Centre, Abberley St, Dudley, DY2 8QY, the event will provide a fantastic opportunity for local communities to come together and get free health checks. Local GPS, consultants and pharmacists will be on hand to check blood pressure, cholesterol and for diabetes. They will also have the latest technology for checking whether hearts are healthy.
They will also be joined by teams such as Dudley Talking Therapies and breast screening and they will hear from local Diabetes Ambassador, Tony Kelly who will tell everyone his inspiring story of living with diabetes and taking control of his health and wellbeing. There will be activities and entertainment all day including face painting, smoothie bikes and gentle exercise and dominoes. Masked theatre, too!
The event is completely free, just let them know whether you will be joining them by either ringing 07471 711006 or book on eventbrite: http://tinyurl.com/2p8y8wbx
