Dudley Council is seeking expressions of interest from community organisations to take over the management of the Sycamore Adventure Centre.
Under the proposals, the council would retain ownership of the centre but would hand over the day-to-day management of the centre to a community partner though a Community Lease arrangement. This arrangement will give long term security to the centre while allowing the community partner to bring their own ideas to the table and direct the future of the much loved site.
The council is looking to find a community partner to enhance the current offer and make it their own. Being community led could also provide opportunities to apply for funding streams not available to the local authority, potentially helping to assure the centre’s long-term future.
The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is 31st August.
