Dads Included Community Engagement Officer (F1001D)
37 hours per week
Salary: £30,151(aligned to NJC SO1)
12-month post (possible further 12-month extension)

This new role in Dudley borough is a 12-month pilot (with a possible further extension) to ascertain whether additional support for expectant and new dads in the first 1001 days (F1001D) will improve a range of outcomes for the dads, their infants and their partners.
The role will involve providing one to one support for dads, often in their own homes, to understand their social and emotional needs and help connect them to relevant and appropriate support services.
This role will also entail helping dads to connect with each other offering peer support, finding out their experiences of support services and using this information to help improve services locally for dads.
You will have experience of working with families and infants in the first 1001 days and/or early years in a person-centred way and knowledge of strength-based recovery models and approaches.
