Residents planning a summer clear-out are being encouraged to donate unwanted household items to a community sharing event taking place in Gornal Wood in August.
Dudley Council’s next Too Good to Throw Away event will be held at Zoar Church in Gornal Wood on Thursday 13 August 2026 from 10am to 1pm.
Residents can donate a range of household items that are clean, in good condition and suitable for reuse, including curtains, bedding, cushions, kitchenware, small electrical items, clothing, non-perishable food and unused toiletries.
Donated items will be redistributed to charitable organisations across the borough, including Provision House, where they will be repurposed to support local people and communities.
Residents are asked not to bring furniture, upholstered furniture or white goods, as these items cannot be accepted through the scheme. A full list of wanted items and more information about the scheme can be found online at: https://tinyurl.com/5n7x7dwx
