Local police in Dudley borough are running a Christmas bike appeal which has really taken off and they have over a 80 bikes now already with more to be collected! They have moved about 60 of them already but are really struggling as they only have the public order van which they can only move about 6 at a time depending on the size and is used operationally a lot of the time.Do you know anybody who has a van/lorry who would be willing to volunteer to move these bikes from the fire stations to a secure location? They really need some help, it wouldn’t be all the time it would be when they receive a phone call from the stations to say they have some bikes which need collecting. They are keeping them at Halesowen Police station at the moment and looking at another location in Brierley Hill as Halesowen is nearly full! Any help you could give would be much appreciated!!Please contact Richard Gwynne from WMP if you can help:T: 101 (ext. 851 3086) |M: 07826884062richard.gwynne@westmidlands.police.uk
